PAWS – People for Animal Welfare Society – is holding its annual garage sale Thursday and Friday, Oct. 6 and 7, at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds.
The sale will be open Thursday from 6 to 8 pm, with a $3 admission (children 10 and younger free). Sale hours Friday are 8 am to 6 pm, with no admission charge.
Donations will be accepted Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 8 am to 7 pm, and Thursday, Oct. 6, from 8 am to noon. No exceptions can be made.
The event is “pared down” this year. No clothing will be accepted and everything must be sold as volunteers prepare to move to the new animal shelter. Persons who would like to help with the fundraising garage sale in any capacity can call the PAWS voicemail at 515-386-9814. Leave a message and someone will return the call.
“Thanks for your continued support of PAWS, and as always, 100 percent of the proceeds go toward the care and treatment of animals at the shelter,” a spokesperson said.
